JOB SUMMARY

The Stock Prep Operator role is a crucial part of our Milling Department, responsible for preparing milled stock for use in the Molding Department.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Catching rubber batches from conveyor drops.
  • Operate rubber shear.
  • Operate Barwell and Panstone preformers.
  • Use of razor knife and hand guillotine.
  • Weighing of stock with scales.
  • Complete identification of materials at all process points.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and work instructions.
  • Accurately fill out daily worksheets.
  • Operate Stock Prep label and location computer.
  • Keep the work area organized and clean to maintain 6S standards.
  • Will be cross-trained in Silicone, Color, and Black mill operations.
  • Will be trained in the Compounding area.

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Able to read and understand English.
  • Outstanding multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Basic mathematics.
  • Basic computer operations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 20 to 30 pounds several times per day and occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Work in dusty conditions when compounding or milling. Personal protective equipment and clean-up time are provided.
