JOB SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains all Robinson Rubber Products Co’s. buildings and equipment including fabrication of new and existing support equipment.  


  1. Performs direct repair and maintenance on buildings and equipment as needed. (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and PLC’s)
  2. Notifies Maintenance Lead for necessary supplies and equipment to support repair and maintenance activity.
  3. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and notifying Maintenance Lead.
  4. Communicates to Maintenance Lead for immediate repairs that take longer than 15 minutes.
  5. Coordinates with Maintenance Lead to perform planned and unplanned Preventive Maintenance activities.
  6. Performs maintenance tasks as required to support Production objectives of a 5-day 24-hour manufacturing facility.
  7. Assist on routine tasks and troubleshooting activities with other maintenance technicians and Team Leads/Operators.
  8. Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  9. Locates sources of problems by observing and/or operating mechanical devices in operation.
  10. Provides solutions on equipment and other production problems while coordinating with other Maintenance Techs/Lead.
  11. Ability to perform maintenance tasks independently in a timely fashion and utilize resources as needed.
  12. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  13. Team player, self-starter and dependable.
  14. Expected to lead by example.



  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance from a trade school, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as maintenance technician of plant and equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Low voltage to 480V 3 phase electrical knowledge/experience.  Basic understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Pipe fitting experience.
  • Welding certification or equivalent experience. 
  • Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hydraulic knowledge.
  • Pneumatic knowledge.
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
  • Can obtain a State of Minnesota, “Special” High Pressure Boiler Engineer License.
  • Forklift and Scissor Lift operations.
  • Experience with equipment used for industrial manufacturing; rubber products preferred. 
  • Blueprint reading and general fabrication skills.



  • Must be able to lift 20 –30 pounds several times a day and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending at waist, kneeling, climbing, walking, and crouching as job may require.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Extreme temperature environments at times.
